I am looking for an interval routine to use with more kids involving running, jumprope, vaults and other exercises but i wonder where exercise really starts working negative on the immune system.
At first sight doing conditioning circuits for me seemed like great at 90 - 95 % of mhr but looking back at it it seems to stressy(though i did got fit). Would 85% - 90% of mhr stress the immune system a whole lot less. Or would 80 - 85 be a better approach if "not overwhelming the immune system" is as important as fitness gains?
What triggers it off mostly is it the work over anaerobic threshold, causing high lactate values?, is it the perceived stress in the mind?
Is there any good research available online, books,... showing a threshold from what intensity the immune system 'crashes'.
I somewhere read it was at 90% of your maximal oxygen uptake.
But wouldn't it basically be your anaerobic threshold or a certain lactate level (6 mmol as crash threshold comes to mind from something)....?
You see I've tried google but it give me to little to build upon. Hey as a 'kind of coach' you better believe what you will teach not?
I am looking at stuff like 4 - 6 X 5 minute rounds or something a like...with small warm down of course. But i can give this stuff like 5-6 classes a week.I don't want to burn down the motivated and i do want people to maintain this lifestyle.
I know this post is long but i really want to learn about the line between unhealthy fit with health... and top form. I also plan to start giving practices really soon: i have friends who will come, i have a gym available with gymnastic tools, room for some running, rope skipping(including the ropes) and object course, a friend of me who is building a website to promote the soon to rise club and explain.
