Rose Bowl - USC vs. Illinois (USC)-Closer than expected if the good IL team shows up. USC had trouble with healthy Oregon, and IL plays similar offense. Beware: Ron Zook prominently involved.

Sugar Bowl - Hawaii vs. Georgia (Georgia)-Also much closer than expected. HI offense is very dangerous, and GA has seen nothing similar.

Fiesta Bowl - Oklahoma vs. West Virginia (Oklahoma)

Orange Bowl - Virginia Tech vs. Kansas (Kansas)-KU shouldn't be here over Mizzou, but they are still legit. VT is highly overrated.

BCS National Championship - LSU vs. Ohio State (OSU)-OSU got their ideal opponent-no spread offense. The coaching matchup is like Aristotle vs. Koko the gorilla. The media and public tend to side with the wrong team in championship games without a clear mismatch (2002, 2003, 2005, 2006).

It seems that by my post and the few others, that the BIG 12 and SEC are the concurred powerhouse conferences. The results will prove this in the next month.

Don't ask me how the BIG 10 got 8 teams in...I highly doubt they will have a 50% win percentage or better.

In conclusion, BIG 10 will suck, PAC 10 will suck, the only SEC team that will lose is Alabama to a pretty solid BIG 12 Colorado, and the only game the BIG 12 will lose is Mizzou to a potential upsetter in Arkansas.

There ate 8 teams in the Big 10 with 7-5 records or better. That's how you get 8 teams in. Sec got 8 teams in. You think Miss. State really deserves a bowl?

There are only 4 teams in the Pac 10 with 7-5 or better.

In fact....EVERY team except Minnesota has at least a .500 OVERALL record in the Big10. That's 10 out of 11 teams. The SEC is the ONLY other conference with 10 teams with .500 or better records.

IU will beat Oklahoma State by a field goal!
