how does everyone like them?
Good shoe, but definitely not as supportive as the Alchemy.
Light though!
I've had some ankle problems with them. Usually after about 400 miles my right ankle will start bothering me and I have to wrap my ankle and take a few days off before I start running again with a new mizuno wave inspire.
Looking for a similar trainer? Anyone have any suggestions?
Asics GT2120 are the closest thing to an inspire you will probably find.
2120 f***in suck
why do asics 2120 suck tony parker?
well for 1, the cushion sucks and leaves bruses on the bottom of your foot if you run over the slightest rock. \
2, over priced for the quality, if you like asics i say go up to the kayano or nimbus
3, not much support for being a stability shoe.
i could go on for days about the 2120. asics is good but made a mistake with that one. they deserve to be unlaced and burned

I definitely like my Inspires. The one complaint I have though, is that they stink worse then any shoe I have ever run in. In the summer they quickly get to the point where I don't even bring them in the house. I've never had that problem with my running shoes before. I wash them every now and then and that is something I NEVER did to my running shoes. (The dirt was a thing of pride for me.)
But they are good shoes.

I love the alchemy. Ive been running in them for...I think 4 years now.
The Inspire 3 places Mizuno at the top of the stability category with the Asics 21XX and the Brooks Adrenaline. While the neutral Wave Rider put Mizuno on the map, the Inspire 3 is a true challenger to the dominance of the Asics and Brooks. The Mizuno will be a little lighter and smoother than the others in the stability category.
I agree with Stipe. I recently purchased my first pair of Inspires and been thoroughly impressed. These are outstanding shoes.
Since the mid '90s I have primarily ran in Nike Structures. During this time I have also tried other brands' stability shoes upon recommendations but always returned to the Structures. That will not be the case the next time I purchase trainers. I will be buying Inspires until Mizuno decides to eff up their design.
Alchemy 4's will be out in a few weeks. It's basically the same as the Alchemy 3 with a different material on the lateral side of the collar. I think they lowered the toe box a little bit. Good update because they really didn't change much. The drawback is still that there isn't enough blown rubber on the outsole in some spots, and that causes it to wear out quickly.
If you get more than 300 miles then you've done something.
You must have had a fun trip in the time machine. I thought Alchemy 7 was the current model.
Best Mizuno shoe is Wave Precision.
End of thread.
umm, you shouldnt really be running in the same pair of shoes after much more than 400 miles anyway.
