Has anyone done this? I think it started last year. I'm interested but it looks quite hilly in the last 3 miles. What are your impressions of the course?
Thanks for any help. I'm looking to break 3 hours for the first time.

Haven't done it, but from living in Tulsa and knowing the area, it looks like a pretty good course through 23 miles. Riverside is flat as a pancake and wide open (3-20.5). Your biggest concern would be whether there's a headwind on the day of the race, which along Riverside could be brutal and long (going into the wind at least). If you get a calm, crisp morning, you are going to fly along Riverside! The Cherry Street/Utica part is rolling (steep climbs and drops, nice area in general). Try it, and give a report on it.
I just did a marathon into 20 mph winds not long ago and wondered if Tulsa could be like that.
thanks for the info.
The wind could blow 100mph or it could be 0. the temp could be 30 with rain or 78. The bad part of oklahoma is not knowing what the weather will do but at least there are no real hills in tulsa. the last couple of miles are hilly compared to the rest of the course but they are not long hills. Last year had bad weather and a parade that went on at the same time causing some problems but that is not hapnin this year. the good part is that if you can run around 2:35 you can win.
