So I've been focusing on half and full marathons over this year, and right now I was hoping to spend the next couple months just focusing on shorter 5K, 8K, 5Mile, type races.
Track workouts would be anywhere from mostly repeat 800's - repeat miles, occasional longer stuff. Then I'd do a couple tempos from 5-8 miles each week that obviously got a little longer at a slower pace for marathon training.
Also with mileage, recently I've been running about 70-80 miles a week, averaging 7:20 pace each week. PRs for marathon/half are 2:40 and 1:14. 5 mile and 5K PRs I don't really have because I don't really keep track of them. I think they're both at a 5:30 pace, but then again I only run a couple of them each year.
Anyway, I'm just curious what kinds of workouts to do and what kind of pace to do them at. I'm not exactly sure of my "goal times" for each distance, I just want to know what kinds of workouts will help me run/improve my best times.
