Some people will never, ever admit that the PAC 10 is a good conference even during their best years. Pathetic east coast homers who can't break 18:00.

So they hate the P10 because they can't break 18:00 min. It suddenly makes sense now.
oh yeah wrote:

yea, for the most part, something like that.
OMBTS,
Thanks for rooting for the Beavs. After the Bears ran a brilliant 67 yard TD with 2:30 left, thought that the Beavs would let this one slip away. Nail biter to the end.
Oh so close.......
Go Beavs!!!!!
That OSU is a great team. They can go all the way to the National Championships. The PAC-10 can easily finish in the top 4 spots this year.
GO BEAVERS!!!!!!!
CAN'T LICK OUR BEAVS!
I was at the Cal game today. Pathetic play calling by Cal. Before the end of the half the squib kicked it to the 45 or 50. O. St. kicked a field goal.
2nd half. Cal called the same running play 4 times in a row at the goal line. O. St. held. Mix it up. Play action? QB sneak from the 2 foot line? Over the top? Nope, the same exact 4 running plays from the HB.
End of the game: Cal has about 16 seconds on the clock. Instead of looking for a quick shot to the end zone and throwing it away if nothing was available, the QB runs the ball with no timeouts and the clock runs out. Easily in field goal range at this point.
Hindsight is 20/20 of course, but Cal didn't execute when they had the chance.
If they had snuck this one out, I'd be interested in seeing if they would be #1 or if Ohio St. would've gotten it because of Cal's weak performance.
Tough game. Crazy season with S. Fla and BC highly ranked. I still think USC, Cal, LSU and Florida are all great teams - much better than BC or S. Fla....
Oregon could still be in the mix.
If Michigan beat Ohio State the last game of the season, then we seriously might have BC and S. Fla as #1 and #2 in the nation.
I know there are a lot of people on this board who value wins and losses much more than strength of schedule (see the Boise St. threads re: last year), but I think it would really suck if those two teams played for the national championship this year.
isn't this the same Beaver Squad that beat USC last year? Although the Pac 10 is much more unpredictable this season, I think overall it's a tougher conference than the SEC. Oregon number... 6? Cal just number 2, USC number 1 earlier, number 8 now? AZ State number 14 earlier... Washington delivering Boise St's only loss in like 18 games. Any team is out there to win.
