I know this is an old thread. But I dont think that they are allowing St. George times as trials qualifier times anymore. At least not for the men's trials. Did anyone else hear this?
St. George is no longer a qualifier for Olympic trials.
And Sean's 2:22 at Newport is pretty good considering he did it with somewhat limited training (running only around 700 miles for all of March, April, and May combined). He also ran alone from the gun, set a course record (non-aided eligible course) and won by 19 minutes.

Should it still be allowed as a Boston qualifier?
If not, that race would go out of business.
