i personally dont really care that much, except these arguments are just terrible. some of plas's "recruits" were not that great to begin with. so theve done about what i have expected. second, wisconsin runs well because they get the best damn runners in the country. look at the hot bed of talent they always get. thats why they are good, not because of their coach. the u doesnt get even close to that generally. id say mead and rombough are the typical type guys that wisconsin gets (based on their high school running) and, they are going to be phenomenal for the U of M. why? because they have alot of talent. in all honesty, minnesota has done a better job developing lower tier guys than wisconsin. thats why i give them credit.
you can question every d1 coaching program. did wisonsin run perfectly last year? what about the year before? did solinsky win nats? was that a coaching problem, especially considering solinsky is obviously more talented than almost everyone? the way i see it, wisconsin is good at getting incredible talent, while minnesota generally doesnt get many top recruits. not necessarily a problem with plas's coaching, but instead, with his recruiting.
