I am a high school xc runner. I have put in a good base (~60 MPW with some additional cross training). I had been feeling very strong.
But now with school stress having begun, I tend to eat a lot at night when working, mainly when I am not hungry. I notice I am gaining fat, losing definition and starting to get slower since starting school 3-4 weeks ago. My workouts had been going great and I haven't changed my mileage or schedule plan that much.
Though I don't weigh myself, what would be a safe and effective way to get back down to "racing weight" (my usual leanness that enables me to run fast and feel good)? My big meets begin in a week and go through mid-November.
