Anyone have a link? Thanks
Anyone know the conditions?
Anyone have links to other years to compare times.
How does German Fernandez's 14:42 stand up compared to other years results?
props to the CAL guys. Nice race!
Conditions were almost identical to last year. Not terribly hot, but still almost opressive under the sun. Fast hard course as always. Like running on a track except for the back hills.
His 14:42 is probably comparable to what the top guys ran last year.
Congrats to the Adams State Womans team! 2nd behind D1 #1 ranked Stanford, not bad at all.
Cal had a chance to beat Stanford, but they lacked a 5th man. Is there anyone in the wings for the Bears who can step it up, or are they doomed to be waiting a long time in each race for that fifth stick?
i dont know, it kind of sucks. its moments like that when i bet they wish kevin davis was still onboard. but damn, they still stepped it up a bunch. scored through 4 runners, stanford barely had them beat 25-26. hopefully they can find a good 5th man or maybe chavez will step it up. its a shame jake schmitt, andy mcclary, and alex mcclary all left the program last year. damn fine race by cal though, and it was an even more amazing finish by stanford, i think. they had so many guys up there that weren't scoring for the team. a lot of those blanks are stanford runners, but cal was with them through 4 runners. looks like cal woke up and realized what they're capable of. congrats to their football team (ranked 6th) for knocking off oregon today too.
Best of luck to Cal this season i dedicate mine to them. They've taken so much crap on this board its ridiculous. They have the talent to do some big things this year or the next
fo sho.
i can't believe david torrence took it to nef araia. baller!
Stanford held out: Garrett heath and ran the three frosh Elliot Heath, Brendon Gregg and Jacob Riley unattached.
Bauhs kicked the crap out of Torrance, Tuz and Ghebray! What could Towne do at Cal with that kind of talent?
nothing, cuz he'll never move there.

Bauhs kicked the crap out of everybody. What could Towne do at Stanford/Arizona/UCSB/Adams St./etc. with that kind of talent?
Elliot Heath had a huge day also.
He's a freshman for Stanford and was 7th. Would have been Stanford's #3 man.
looks like Stanford held out duplinsky too, who is one of their top returners from last year's season...add him and the older Heath in the mix, as well as 2 or 3 of the freshmen, and Stanford looks like a formidable contender

Jay, no worries.
Coach Sandoval held out Kari Karlsson from Reykjavik, Iceland that would have scored for the Golden Bears in their Top 5. Props to David Torrence for a most impressive run, beating Nef Araia by 15 seconds!
