Worth it? Probably hard for anyone to say, because
- bumping one week in five(ish) is no doubt a pretty uncommon scheme few have experience with
- people respond a little differently to mileage, makes a bigger difference for some than others
- other unknowns: whether you'd enjoy the extra miles, your ability, goals, race distances, etc.
Seems like one of those things you'd pretty much need to determine by trying it. I think if you'd enjoy the bigger weeks then that's reason enough. Another potential benefit: if you should have more time to devote to running somewhere down the road, having already run some bigger weeks would make it easier and quicker to build up your volume.
