Oregon State, Oklahoma State, or Ohio State?
you've never run the jamboree if you have to ask that question. steeple barriers and some tight turns on the back of the course...some solid hills as well...falcon held the cr in my day at just shy under 30 minutes for 10k....
In XC, there is only one true "OSU"
and it aint ohio state or oregon state....Oklahoma State is the answer.
results?????
OSU won! Take that, Arkansas!
Hogs were 3rd, Abilene was 2nd. OSU beat Abilene on their 6th runner.
OSU first
Abilene Christian second
Arkansas thrird
Tulsa Fourth
Very close race between the top three teams.
Individuals:
1. Nicodemus(ACU)
2. Kosgei (Arkansas)
3. Vail (OSU)
they ran FAST for this course. It is a bitc.h of a course.
You know, the competitition seems weaker this year. Only a couple of D1's and a slew of junior colleges in the university race. Too many 'big meets' on one weekend?? Guess that's the way it goes.... this meet used to be HUGE.
oops, screwed up some of the individuals:
1. John Kosgei, South Plains - 23:42
2. Nicodemus Naimadu, Abilene Christian - 23:46
3. Ryan Vail, Oklahoma State - 23:49
4. Edwin Henshaw, Tulsa - 24:10
5. Scott MacPherson, Arkansas - 24:12
Arkansas is really bad. At least by Arkansas standards. The slide has been happening for several years, and Coach Mac just doesn't have the athletes these days.
Still a top twenty program but no longer a threat to win nationals.
well done to the Brits in 8th, 14th, 16th and 17th

I think the only thing they are missing is a real front runner. McPherson is good, but he is no Boit, Kosgei or Craig.

True, but their team is still made up of nothing but 4:10 HS mile types. OSU rarely gets that kind of talent. Good job Cowboys.
Macpherson ran a second faster than kosgei did last year, Their second guy was faster by 2 seconds, 3rd guy the same as last year, 4th guy 10 seconds faster and their 5th guy was the same ...
Looks like OSU is the real deal this year
Tulsa are really improving. where are all thse guys coming from?
Yes, They is really improving
... you must be from oklahoma
speaking of improving - what is up with the Oklahoma State Girls? First off their A team goes to ND to finish an awful 9th .. I doubt they would have won if they stayed home. They seem to be getting decent talent, how did Rene Sepulveda get in charge of an Top Class school like Oklahoma State especially considering that Weis, who built the program up so well is still there, although he is with smith and the men now and I doubt he has anything to do at all with the Women's team. But seriously how does a person like Sepulveda get a head coaching job there, he has destroyed the women's aspect of OSU's program, It's a complete f***ing disgrace.
