anyone got a pair? any good?
anyone got a pair? any good?
I've got a pair, ran a 5k/10k and 3k in them and din't get a single blister even with no socks, the upper feels quite wide when you put them on but they fit great when they are tied up. I'd recommend them.
thanks Dave
I've got a pair as well, absolutely love them. They are my XC and track spikes. Have to make 'em last however, as I think Brooks is sold out of them.
i don't know about that, after Dave said they we're OK i've ordered 2 pairs on line, didn't say they were out or anything.Don't use them for Cross, unequal surfacrs turn my ankles something rotten, i've got a pair of the old Wave Kaze boot type for the "ploughed field" type of trace and a the ordinary Wave Kaze for grass etc.Don't rate Osakas though.Plus i like Brooks, use them on the roadsince the very first Hydroflow models, i trust them.
I have shaved the outsole off the Brooks Beast and glued on a spike plate. Excellent for 10K on the track and CC.
i'll stick to online ordering i think, if i glued something onto something else it would surely come unstuck right when it shouldn't.
dean, you're right, Brooks has plenty in stock now...
OK thanks; Dean's not my real name, i've been on holiday this week and i've been re-reading on the road, fancied being Dean Moriarty today but it's a registered user name already (think he was trying to lay some chick at a party
just like the real Dean with MaryLou,Camille,Inez et al?)
so i had to leaveout the R.You can call me Dean for today though, any Mary Lou's or Camilles out there?
I find them to be a bit heavier than most of the high end spikes from other companies. They didn't fit my foot very well, either. I think the overlays were in a weird spot. Just my opinion, though.
