Instructional time hasn't changed. We are required to have 345 mins. of instructional time and if you add it up, we have about 400, sometimes more.
Heaven forbid that you'd be required to exceed a minimum.

7/10
Not bad, and you were going great until you started spewing all of the Constitutional crap out, which exposed you for what you are.
Still should see 3-4 pages out of it before it fizzles.
Excuse me. We are already treated unfairly. We literally don't have anything to lose. To give you a sense of how ridiculous this is:
1. A teacher was sent home for wearing capris above her kneecaps.
2. "School rules override the constitution" -our ass. principal
3. There was a lockdown yesterday in which everyone was locked in their rooms as the rooms and everyone's cars were searched by dogs for drugs and stuff without their even being the suspicion or cause for suspicion of drug use. One guy was suspended for having a switchblade in his car, which was not on school property. The dogs were said to be 100% accurate, but they all barked at the wrong cars.
4. The same guy that was suspended for having a switchblade in his car was coming out of the auditorium after lunch to go to homeroom. We all have to go to the right after we exit the auditorium. The water fountain was about 2 ft. out of the path across the hall. As this student approached the water fountain, one of the teachers monitoring the halls bumped him out of the way with his chest and would not let him get a drink for absolutely no reason.
5. At a pep rally for a football game, some students decided to sit on the bleachers instead of stand. The ass. principal then forced them to stand up and clap their hands as if she could force them to have school spirit.
6. The day immediately after the lockdown drug search, their was a bomb threat.
Only a few examples...
just get a huge protest going. make the school really confused. Wear short shorts to school. wear a skirt to school(above your knees). get everyone in your school to break a rule you hate on one day of school. if so many kids do it, they cant do anything about it. Make a facebook group and if other people are just as pissed theyll join. Get everyone to cut the homeroom crap one day. I personally think getting hundreds of guys and gals to wear skirts above their knees would be hilarious
As much as your high school limits your free time, I guarantee you my high school limited my free time more.
we had a similar issue my freshman year in high school. the kids organized a walkout, which promptly turned into a riot.

Yeah, but exceed it by an hour? If we just kept the 1.5 hour blocks we have with 1 hour lunch, we would still exceed it by about 20 mins. Also, the bell doesn't ring at 3:15 like it used to. It has misteriously drifted back to 3:25-3:30. Just about every other school in the state doesn't do as much time as we do.
Instead of bitching about the results, why don't you mention the reasons for all the changes.
Which high school is this? I'm sure several postres on here would like to look ut up and find some info on it.
I'd probably have been unhappy about your situation when I was in high school. But we had NO free time at all unless you counted study halls as free time and even there we weren't allowed to talk.
Admittedly, what they're doing with your time seems a bit Mickey Mouse. I'd suggest they give you a course on the History of Tyranny. Might add some perspective.

officials have the legal right to seach anything or anyone on the school campus. i know this from experince. as for the stupid rules, your just going to have to suck it up. there is nothing you can do. they arent going to listen to you because you will be gone in a year and they think you are stupid because you are young. they are probably right about that. its not the end of the world though. in five years you will have forgotten about their tyranny and will only remember the good times. also in a matter of months you and your friends can dress and act however you please.
I thought they had to have just cause to search you or your backpack. They can check the locker at any time because it's the schools locker, not your own, but I don't think they have the right to your backpack.
I'm a teacher, but I'm going to talk to you as a parent, like I would one of my own kids:
You need to study more and become literate. Your spelling is atrocious and so is your grammar and punctuation. Stop saying "literally" when you mean "figuratively." You have a lot to learn. Get your closed mind into class during school and into some books during your free time. You’ve whined and complained long enough. More than a few posters here have told you how to solve this problem. Grow up. Try visualizing your future in ways that don’t involve fantasies about sex and slacking. Now get going.
Yes, I love you too, son.
Wow, you have no idea who I am. I actually do pretty well in school and I do my work. I also read books other than my textbooks, and I am actually very good at spelling and grammar. I just don't care as much on this message board. I went to my regional spelling bee in 7th grade if that tells you anything. I am definitely not closed minded, I just don't believe what the administration is doing is right. So, before you post things about how atrocious my english skills are and what kind of person I am, you should probably know a little more about me. I am glad you were so open minded when you made that post.
By the way, my future has nothing to do with sexual fantasies.
As a fellow high schooler, I must say that you are being a whiny little bitch.
Actually, I was just wondering if you guys had any suggestions on how to change things. Yes, I'm upset, but I'm not being a "whiny little bitch." If you want to call me that, then you might as well call the whole school and most of the staff that.
Your school is probably wrong, but whining on an internet message board isn't going to do much good. And don't say you were looking for advice. The people here aren't going to be able to help you much. I'm sure you can decide what to do in this situation.
Look, we've all been there. We deal with it and graduate. Consider yourself lucky to have problems like homeroom, teachers and girls in skirts. This is just part of your life and some day it will be your history.
Anyone want to talk about something that matters?? Like will Zach and Kelly ever find happiness? Where did I turn Jessica Spano wrong? From a straight A student to the clubs of Vegas?

Way to break out the "You have no idea who I am"
Oh no, girls can't wear skirts/shorts above their kneecaps. And you can't play basketball after lunch anymore??
You whine as if these "rules" are going to hurt you. Bull. Try going to a private school. You would have way more rules/restrictions placed on you. As for your rights, the school does have the right to search your locker or bookbag for drugs, weapons, etc.
Our new principal was a despot and changed all the rules like yours did. Thankfully, the parents in this town live their lives through their kids (they even dress like their kids, so new dress code was a prooooblem!), so they all whined and complained about the principal to the school district, and the principal backed down. So try rallying the parents.
