I have a local 5K come up next weekend and since I have not run on for 6 month, I am not sure what pace I should go out for. Need some help so that I won't go out too fast and still run a decent time (for me).
Here are some basic information:
Previous PR (1 year ago): 16'52"
Recent workout:
10x400 avg. 71" with 60" rec (very, very slow jog)
6x1000 avg 3'14" with 2'15" rec (walk around)
4x1600 avg 5'23" with 2'30" rec. (walk around)
5x1200 avg 3'58" with 2 - 2'30" rec.
50 miles/wk in 6 easy run + 1 workout
Tempo run every other week: 4 miles @ 5'56"
Now, do I have a shot at 16'40"?
