45:52 for 10 miles equates to 4:34/mile. Not too shabby. If he ran at 90% that pace, he would be running 5:02/mile. I wonder if he could hold that pace for 26.2 miles(~2:11)?

uhhh probably. He is one of the best distance runners in the world right now and won world cross...
he will not beat wanjiru. there are also a couple of kenyan and ethiopian.
still he is strong runner at road and cross country event.
Tadesse is a gun. So strong. He made that 10,000 such a good one in Osaka.
osaka better to foget it. kenenisa and silishi were in diffrent form and i do not think he will challenge them for the next coming years.
for tadesse better to stick to road race ans one day he will break marthon eorls record
Tadesse certainly cannot match the Ethiopians on the track but his effort in Osaka was a very brave one. Do you think that he will run the 10,000 m again in Beijing?
no doubt he will run once agian kenyan and tadesse will compete for minor medal

Tedesse ran 12:59 and 26:37 last year, and he did lead the majority of the world champs 10k, so he was breaking wind for everyone and towing everyone along, doing more work than anyone else in that race. I wouldn't say he 'certainly cannot match the Ehtiopians on the track'. Yes, I know Sihine and Bekele both beat him, but Tedesse has run faster than Sileshi Sihine for 10,000m on the track, and he did get the Bronze medal in the 2004 Olympics Mens 10,000m Final. I doubt the Ehtiopians ever count him out. I think it would be great to see Bekele, Sihine, Tadesse, Wanjiru, Kogo, and Gebremariam in next summer's Olympic 10,000m final. I think Wanjiru could win it if he slowly ramped up the pace to run the last 5000m nearly all out. I think Wanjiru possibly has better aerobic capacity than Bekele right now, only because Wanjiru has run world record half marathon times and a fast 10,000m a couple years ago(26:41 world junior record).
Just this year wanjiru tried the 5000mr but it is not that much effective. In his own country tryal he manges only fourth at 10000mr.
yes tadesse has a better time for 10k however, silshi has get a serious problem to his knee.
selishi is brave guy and he is the only guy who can beat kenenisa at 10000mr
I doubt Wanjiru could win if he "slowly ramped up the pace over the last 5000", do you forget Bekele has run the second 5000 of a sub 27 10000 in under 13 minutes?
tadesse will not even get a medal this year. ma prediction
kenia with wanjiru 1.
kenia 2.
ugandan 3.
