Favre had a fine day, but his GM has let him down again. The Packers let Ahman Green go to the Texans, where he is playing quite well. They replaced him with a couple of rookies who are averaging about 1.5 yards/carry -- which is going to seriously bite them in the ass this year. Meanwhile, the GM passed on the opportunity sign Randy Moss for as little as $2 million a year, and well, you can see what he's doing in NE. Oh, did I mention the Packers are $12 million BELOW the salary cap?
Anyway, if Favre had Green in the backfield and Moss split out, this team would be a serious contender. That doesn't mean they can't make the playoffs without these guys, but why not give Favre some serious weapons in his last years? It's not like they didn't have the money..
Anyway, I see Favre's records lasting about 10 years, until Peyton Manning catches up.
