Would you pay over market value for Webb's crib if it were for sale, simply because it was owned by Alan Webb?

No
not a chance.
if he was black, you'd all say different
funny screen name
I WOULD PAY BELOW MARKET VALUE, BECAUSE, WOULD BE LOTS OF EPO SAMPLES AROUND THE HOUSE!!!
I WOULD PAY ENTIRELY IN ALL CAPS.
I once bought Jon Voits car because it was preciously owned by him.
lol, john
John Voit, the dentist?
If I could afford it, I would. But it would depend on how much over we're talking. Hypothetically, if his house was worth $500,000, I would pay as much as $510 - $520. I mean, only 2 or 3 percent of the population (and that's being generous) know who Alan Webb is, and less than that actually care who he is. So it's not like the fact that I have Webb's old house would be very interesting to most people at first. But if I explained "this house was owned by America's fastest miler of all time and three time national champ, Alan Webb", they might think that's pretty cool.
I once paid £50,000 for Philips Idowu's moped but it broke down.
Now I'm having second thoughts about offering Deena Kastor the $25,000 she wants for her monogrammed screwdriver set.
