At 41 I have been trying for 3 years to come back from calf injury.
My right calf continues to be a problem if I run over 30 minutes. I'm up to 60 minutes now, but it tightens and prevents me from doing anything more than a slow jog. If I try to pick up pace, it will strain to the point of making me limp.
Any thoughts? It can't be over training. I went out and bought a HR Monitor. I would think even at 41, I should be able to handle 30 minutes pain free at 140 BPM.
Any thoughts? My right leg is 1/4 inch shorter, but I do wear orthotics to correct. I do stretch calfs for 2x45 seconds after each run.
