Are they any good?
I ran in the complete concinity or something along that line i believe a few months ago. They were a lightweight stability shoe. overall i felt they were very stiff and they didnt really last as long as the brooks axiom 2 or new 902 i have worn previously. They also had some an odd lacing system that reminded me of prior soccer cleats i had years back. The laces start in the medial part of your foot but kind of fall of to the laterl partin the forefoot. I wouldnt recomend running in pumas when there are far better options available.
I am currently running in a pair that I recieved from my local running store...so far I am very impressed...they are the shoes that are shown in the Shoe Reviews that are in the magazines right now...sorry don't know the name of them...I have been hurt for awhile and shoes are pretty important so I must admit I was skeptical but I am pleased with them...they do have a weird lacing system but it does not bother me or does not feeldifferent then any lacing system...if you come across a pair don't be scared to try them...
I just got a pair of the Phasis (V, I think?). They're great. Just a nice, cushioned trainer with a low profile. I'm normally a Brooks and Mizuno guy, but I like the Phasis a lot.
I splurged a bit and went with their high-end shoe the Magnetist. Honestly one of the best shoes I've ever worn. Kind of like a Kayano but less bulky. I'm seeing Puma a lot more around where I am at (Chicago proper) and I like where they are going
my brother, a sub 29 10k guy stands by puma. puma is known for its ties with africa, even 20 years ago when africa was still on the rise as the dominant race. puma is great for a small, light, skinny runner looking to run a steady fast pace. puma has great shoes for high mileage and tempo.
I have a pair of the complete magnetist and they are the most comfortable running shoe I've ever owned.

I thought Africa was a continent?
I've trained and raced in Puma flats for over 3 years now (~Puma H Streets and Puma Cortlandt XC flats). They fit my feet well and I've been healthy, which has led to consistent improvements/PRs. I'm afraid to jinx myself by running in a different brand.;)
I'm running in the Complete Prevail V's. Great shoe. Light weight but enough cushioning to wear for all your long runs. Super flexible. The thing I like about them most is that the heel is very low, almost the same level as the forefoot. As a forefoot striker this is a huge plus, makes it way easier and more comfortable to run.
Plus they're all blue which is pretty cool.
I bought a pair of H streets in the box just for invstment purposes. They are not even in my size. By the way Jaguar I appreciate your analysis of some of finer points of health issues you provide, 90% that I agree with and I am a layman.
Thank you!
I'm running in the Complete Concinnity (the one with the asymmetrical lacing) and I love them. Super comfortable, and a good balance between cushioning, stability and lightweight.
Two years ago I ran in a pair of Aellos and I really liked them. They were one of the first with a smooth, one piece upper. They were completely neutral with a low to moderate heel/forefoot ratio. I especially liked that they had a full length, carbon rubber outsole, which lasted forever.
That said, the fit was a little goofy. I guess I would say they lacked refinement in the details.
I also jumped on the H-Street bandwagon a few years back. I only use them on smooth trails, because I never got comfortable with them on the roads. They are a really comfortable shoe, though.
