Hi, I am a sophmore in college and I have been running cross country since my senior year of high school. I have ran track since my freshman year. I have been told that when I run anything longer than a mile, I tend to have a bounce to my stride, which makes me inefficient when I run. I was wondering if there is anything I can do to improve my stride. My coach tells me that I have a lot of potential, but can't really help me on my stride. Here are some of my best times:
800m- 1:57.9
1600m- 4:28
XC 3 mile (only ran senior year)- 16:15
XC 8k- 27:11
1500m- 4:09.1
5000m- 16:17 (only ran it twice)
Any advice would be helpful.
