I'll bet you just hated it when people put American flag stickers on their cars after 9/11. Those sheep! How dare they be proud of the great freedoms their society offers, or the basic goodness that is their country's hallmark in so many areas.
After all, as we can see freedom automatically thrives the world over, so the U.S. is nothing special. Soon countries will be irrelevant compared to corporations anyway, so who cares. I haven't really had to live under oppression until the second Bush administration came into office, but I can certainly imagine what it must be like for poor people elsewhere. I did listen to a lot of U2 in the 80's, so I'm pretty sensitive.
