If there was ever a coach that suited a Notre Dame more than that fat gastric bypass loud mouth, I haven't seen him.
He fits the football program perfectly. Big talking poseur that never delivers.

Comes out to 6-6, borderline for a bowl bid.
Borderline?! Considering all the unfair advantages Notre Dame gets from voters and the media, that's probably good enough to get them ranked for a BCS bowl bid!

I guess the 3 super bowl rings were takeout.
I am a ND fan, (and I agree with the poster who said that they have the perfect coach for the program) but I even see Navy beating them this year.

Yeah on Belichick and Brady's tab.

Football season is just a long delay until hockey and basketball seasons start in East Lansing.
My college football and basketball teams are terrible but I still root for them.
I don't follow hockey.

Sorry, it doesn't work that way, you see. If you get to slam someone for not "delivering" in one place you don't get to ignore it when they DO deliver somewhere else.
Unless, of course you live in La La Land where they sky is pink and reality is what we want to see.
Was he the head coach of the Patriots? No. Go away please.

I dont knwo ho good their defense will be but if they can stop the run, they have a great shot to beat PSU. Morelli was one of college footballs worst starting qbs last year.
Speaking of people who "dont know shit about football," you obviously didn't watch a single Penn State game after they got worked by the Domers last year. Morelli was only average but he still improved a great deal once Galen Hall figured out that Morelli wasn't the second coming of Michael Robinson. When the game plan changed, Morelli got better.
And anyone picking Notre Dame to beat Penn State this Saturday (in Happy Valley!) is clearly stuck on last year's result. Regardless of what Morelli or the PSU running game can do against ND, there is no way the Domers can solve the Nittany Lion defense this year. At best, Touchdown Jesus blesses the Domers with a pair of field goals.

Oh, so only the head coach gets credit? Is that how it works in La La Land? I guess the offense never delivered back then with the Patriots. It was all the defense. And besides the players made up all their own plays. And they chose their own starting lineups too.
It's fun to see only what you want to see isn't it? People we don't like only have an effect when they fail! How pleasant.
Yes, I know you would like me to go away. Perhaps if you stick your head in the sand again (like you are doing with Weis), it will have the same effect?
He had as much to do with New England winning Super Bowls as Dave Wandstat had to do with Dallas winning.......and we all know what a stellar coaching career Wanny has had.
Yeah, not announcing your starting quarterback till the day of the game to your team is a really smart move.
Name me three good NFL coaches, head coaches or coordinators, who became good college coaches. And Vice Versa. It never works out.
How many superbowls have they won since he left? Please remind me.
In case it is unclear, that is your cue to come up with a list of other causes and fill us all in with your inside knowledge of what went on in the New England Patriots coaching room.
If you could pick one username and stick it though, it would conversations easier to track. Thanks.
I was at the game this weekend, and it was nothing more than an affirmation for me that ND clearly has the best, most polite fans in the country... even after the game was way over almost every single fan stayed at the game. not one single student left the game early.. almost every notre dame person i bumped into was nice as can be and wished us luck... one gentleman even came over to shake my hand before the game, welcoming me to Notre Dame and wishing us luck. a very classy school with a die hard following is how i see the domers...

Try being around the Domers when the team is actually competitive. That polite demeanor you mentioned quickly turns arrogant and obnoxious. When I was there for the PSU vs. ND game last year (as PSU fans), my family and I were pummelled by inappropriate jokes and vulgar razzing. The more ND ran up the score, the worse it got. Even my nine and ten year-old kids were targets.
As for good fans who stick around to the bitter end, win or lose, tons of schools have that quality. Wisconsin immediately comes to mind.

Granted, a blanket generalization is not fair.
But there is a big difference between a few drunk guys in a bar versus an entire section of Domers yelling profanities, throwing ice and plastic cups, etc as us. Even the ushers shrugged it off as normal ND fan behavior!
Even on the drive out I had to stop and remove the Penn State accessories from our van because Domer fans were throwing ice and beer/soda cans at us.
If the the good Domer fans outnumbered the bad ones, then I assume someone would have stopped the attack.

Well, that certainly proves the point that Charlie Weis had nothing to do with the success of the New England Patriots offense. In fact, that's why Belichick held on to him for so many years. Because Weis did not absolutely nothing for him.
Really though, if you could stick with one name here it would make things so much simpler, thanks.
(Incidentally, it's "Wannstedt", not "Wandstat")
