I have a layover on Weds in Seattle that's nearly 7hrs. Does anyone know if there's a local healthclub that I could get a day pass from to run/shower?
Thanks!

the airport is in Sea-Tac, not Seattle, which is fairly desolate and devoid of health clubs. so my guess is probably not, although i don't know the area that well
revised:
The airport is not in Seattle, but in Sea-Tac, which is fairly desolate and devoid of health clubs.
Dude-I highly doubt that anyone reading this said, 'Oh I wonder what airport that it is he's talking about?'.
Future reference, all LR posters be sure to use airport codes before posting so marijuologist doesn't have to qualify them.
For clarification, I believe the OP is referring to SEA airport.
I believe marijuologist reorganized his sentence because in the original one, he made it sound like Seattle was devoid of health clubs, when, in fact, Sea-Tac is the city devoid of said clubs.
Marij has a point... the airport is not centrally located. There's no club at the airport, running near the airport is possible (but very difficult to explain to an out-of-towner), etc.
However, with 7 hours, your best bet is to catch a metro bus into downtown. You catch this near Baggage Claim #1. You want bus 194 or 174. Normally, 194 would be a lot faster, but not during the next few weeks because of all the road construction on 194's route.
There are several good clubs downtown. I don't belong to any of those, though.
Your best bet is to google "downtown seattle healthclub" and call them to see who offers a day pass. YMCA probably does.
From there, you have a great option for running. Head to the water (Alaskan Way is the name of the street) and run north. You will eventually come to Myrtle-Edwards park. Keep running. You can put together an out-and-back run of anything from 2-9 miles this way.

the point is that the airport associated with Seattle is not actually in Seattle, but rather in a remote location devoid of health clubs. of course locals will know this, but it is obvious that the original poster did not- he expected to land in the city where he would presumably have easy access to the needed facilities.
If you feel comfortable w/changing in a restroom & a restroom/sink shower, run from the airport. My father lived on S 176th which is the street at the east side of the airport and the highway. S 176th runs east...so I'd recommend running east as far as you want and running north or south on an out/back route. I did a fair amount of running in that area about 30 years ago.
I can't believe no one is asking the obvious question, which is why on earth would you schedule a 7-hour layover? Might as well spend the night and have a hotel to work out and shower in.
Try making a new friend on the plane to Seatle and perhaps you can use their shower, get a nice meal, and a happy ending too...
great park w/trails and closed pavement just at the end of SeaTac. Des Moines Creek Park...best way to do it? Take Doubletree Airport bus, hop off, and then follow 28th Ave south to 200th St turn right, and you'll hit the park on your left. Tough to get lost on the trails, and the pavement is closed to traffic. Nice park other than the noise of a passing airplane. Use Google Maps and type in DoubleTree Seatac to get a good idea of the lay of the land. After? scrub up in their bathroom--you'll be good to go! Also, there is some food in the area, a Taco Bell right across the street if you want something cheap and easy.
