the guy in the video would mispronounce his own name. He-shahm is about as close as a western would get.
I figured the guy must be wrong because I've always heard it as he-shahm. Hick-um sounds way off. But how do you pronounce Ngeny? I always thought it was Gen-nee or in-Gen-nee, but they had a totally diferrent pronounciation for him too.

it's actually not that difficult. Hi-Shaam (long 'A') is how it is pronounced (although, in arabic, it's spelled HiKHaam)
