So, whats wrong with a little joke.

what did i say about rowe running tough???
Nice job by Brown. I think they'd need to be top two at regionals to make NCAA's, which appears to be out of the question, but can this finish help them to an at-large bid? I don't really understand the scoring.
umass amherst? what happened to that program? mid 90's they were a solid ic4a team
Hocking takes close 3rd, spanks Dickenfuss
Hocking is the man from America East
Unfortunately the Northeast is not considered a strong district. Brown may have run well, but they didn't accomplish anything that would help them into the big dance. To get an at-large bid, you have to beat an automatic qualifier's "A" team. The only three teams in District 1 who ever qualify automatically are Providence, Dartmouth, and Iona. Brown lost to the latter two today, and don't really have any hope of ever beating their cross town/state rivals. Brown did beat non-district 1 school Missouri, but if they end up qualifying automatically, theirs is a weak region indeed. (OSU, Minnesota and Nebraska further limit this possibility, although stranger things have happened)
Basically, if Brown (or any other non-Dartmouth, PC, or Iona school in the Northeast) wants to make NCAAs, they'd better be at pre-nats with a whole lot of luck on their side.
Which brings up an interesting point: Providence finished sixth at Griak...did they pick up any at-large points? Maybe the Friars should rethink their policy of skipping the pre-nats this year, since their usual lock on first at Regions is hardly secure. The Sutton-less Friars lost to the McArdle-less Green by about 40 points at Dartmouth. With Iona also running at top-form, this could be real trouble for PC come November...
Awesome!!! I went to camp with Riley this summer, and he is a tremenously faboulous lad. Way to show up McArdle, dude!
For the purpose of clarification... That absurd message about Brown was DEFINATELY not written by anyone on the team... that is the most rediculous thing I have ever heard... all I can say is that I am embaressed by it...
Thank you
I'm not on Brown XC?!?
That's what you think, lamebrain! YOU'RE the imposter. I'm on to you. I know you don't go to Brown because they would kick your ass out if they saw that limp attempt at writing the English language.
I can tell you need help putting together those big, impressive, "Ivy-league" words, so I'll give you a hand. They go, in chronological (look THAT one up while your at it) order- "definitely," "ridiculous," and "embarrassed." There's your clarification... BUTTHEAD!
You're welcome!
-Brown XC
ps. While we did finish a distant third at Iona, we definitely made it up afterwards with an intense "cross training" session with the entire Dartmouth squad. Thanks fellows!
I'm out of this piece!
UMass Amherst = three words.
no indoor track.
(program got cut)
Hahaha... If you are on the team, what's your name? Make one up if you have to...
this is the first year of no indoor track, so please.
Obrien, despite getting over 100 grand/year, doesn't feel the need to recruit and is just a terrible coach who has no understanding of basic physiology.
I'm sorry but considering umass amherst is the largest umass campus and umass lowell would destroy them. That says something about the program. they haven't had a distance runner qualify for IC4A's in a long ass time. another college program that could be good (amherst is a great place to train).
Mr Thompson, how has "basic physiology" changed that allowed the developemnt of THOMAS GILLAN MCGRAIL WILSON and
QUINN and no one of late. Could it be the lack of talent
of late? Could the lack of Athletic Dept Support contribute
to the decline? How can you go into the recruiting wars with no ammo? The Pitts Critzer Terenowicz level runner
doesnt walk on. Offer him a tuition waiver and its still
less expensive to commute to the D11/D111 UMass school?
Fund the program it will thrive, NO Support=NO Recruits=
NO Results.
