how long?
how long?
at least 2 days after the surgery - and if you are still on pain meds after two days, you should wait until you are off of them. You don't want to dislodge the clot (and get dry socket) it hurts like heck. And, you don't want to run with any pain meds in your system.
BUMPITY BUMPITY BUMP. My mouth hurts ouch.
Hmm, went for a 30 mile bike ride and a 8 mile hilly hike the next day. Then ran normally after that.
But the surgery didn't affect me that much, and I only had one out.
i ran a 10-miler the night of my surgery-- got a little dizzy at the end and took a pretty nastle tumble...
Your career is over friend, hang up the shoes and turn to something new.
How old are you? it just depends on how you heal? I was near 30 when I had all 4 out and I took over a week off...the anesthetic/drugs was what threw my body off...and I didn't want to risk dry socket...just take it easy and listen to your body...it sucks...HANG IN THERE!!
Oh, and good luck on the oozing...I was oozing blood/saliva 2 1/2 days after the surgery out of all 4 holes...I feel your pain, my friend...best of luck during the healing!!
You don't want the blood clot to dislodge! I hear that dry socket is comparable to giving birth in pain.? Relax and heal!
1 week, then reassess the situation. different for each person
I tried running 5-6 a day or two after I got mine out, ended up swallowing what I guess was a fair amount of blood, and getting really nauseous.
i somehow ended up with dry socket, and had incredible throbbing pain in my jaw for almost a week.
it was almost two weeks before i was running again
