Do any Yugo owners visit this site? I own a 1988 a Yugo and it is the greatest car I have ever owned. An exotic masterpiece. Just wondering if I'm the only Letsrunner who drives a Yugo.

I do not own one but my last girlfriend has had several of them, including a convertible. Best thing about them is that since the back end weighs nothing at all, you can actually lift it up and put it on the sidewalk to help get out of tight parking spaces. But, umm...where are you getting replacement parts at this point? She had to wait forever for a new muffler.
the husband of the maid of honor at our wedding had one. the guy was 300 pounds if he was an ounce. when he got in the car, you could see the car tilt far over to that side. i have no idea how the car could even move with him in it. he weighed so much he bent the seat back.
to this day i have no idea how he could get himself into that "car."
I agree, the Yugo is a great car. I traded in my Edsel even up for a brand new one. I also have as a backup car a vintage Chevy Vega.
Yugos are more reliable than any rustheap made in Detroit that's for sure.
Don't demean the Chevy Vega. Perfect $500 car. Mine lasted about 20 months near the end of my college career.
Mine broke down one day -- it had been burning oil for months and the puff of smoke and loud clunk from under the hood convinced me it was dead -- and I just took the license plate off, grabbed the registration from the glovebox, and ran down the road without looking back.
I get all the parts from Ebay. I'm thinking about turning my Yugo into a monster Yugo or maybe even a stretch limo Yugo. That would be pretty sweet.
Yes, indeed it would.
The chevette was the car of choice in the 80's for poor college students. Don't forget the Ford Pinto and AMC Gremlin. Those Yugos were about $3200 new when the Chevette was selling for 5k.
It Go Where Yugo. Enough said!
Want to see a bunch of them: rent "Drowning Mona".
