I ran a 16:29 a month ago while running 45-50mpw with no workouts.
Since, I've upped my mileage to 70-80mpw and included tempos, hills, and longer track intervals (800,1000, miles) in preparation for xc.
Is it too soon to think I can run under 16:20 for 5k tomorrow night? Predictions? I'll post what I run tomorrow, but I'm kinda curious what you all think...
