Alright, I have a question for minimalists on here.
I was wearing the nike air streaks (green/silver) for all my mileage this past track season (about 25-35 miles per week). I started doing workouts too quickly got shinsplints. Took off 2 weeks after the season to try and start running in the 4.0 frees and even a run in the H-streets. The shinsplints only went away when running in cushioned shoes.
However, the cushioned shoes gave me plantar fasciitis. I still have it (1 month) and am doing the stretches/golf ball. I have some faith using minimalist shoes as the only problem I had was shinsplints (not due from the shoes). So the question is, do you guys think it should be alright to run a mile or two every other day?
