Actually not a lot of Kenyans or people for that matter have run faster than him. Only in fact 24 other people have. That is something to get excited about.
Kenya does have quite a thorough domination in the majority of the distance events though.
Of those 23 ahead of Webb, 10 are Kenyan.
In any other country, aside from Kenya, Webb would be at the worst #3 AT. Only a few countries have 2 guys ahead of him, Algeria, Morocco, Great Britain, and the US.
Webbs time puts him up with a lot of people who have won some type of Olympic or World Championship hardware, national record holders, world record holders, and shows he can possibly go faster in other events.
I've always been a Webb fan, but a lot of people seemed unsure of his abilities as a 1500m runner at the world level. This time and this race show that he has the ability to run with close to anyone [ever].
