I agree the Big Mazungo is the best nickname I have heard in a while. He is the real deal, and has a chance to be one of the most famous runners ever

I would say another good nickname for one of the best runners in the world from EThiopia, Miruts Yifter was him begin always called YIFTER THE SHIFTER... watch this link of this 10,000 meter race the Olympic year 1980 when he did the double and then you will know why....his kick is very similar to Gebrselassie killer kick

Kenyans call white people Mazungo\'s, so Mottram is the big white man.

I have been a Mottram fan since last year, but I just found out that some of the Kenyans call him the Big Mazungo. Now I am obsessed with him. Is that not the best nickname ever? Can anyone else think of a recent nickname that was better?
