This is from RW.... Symmonds is talking about beating Yuriy Borzakovskiy at Prefontaine in the kind of come-from-behind race the Russian usually wins, and gauging his reaction:
"There was this great picture in the (Eugene) Register-Guard where I just get across the line and throw my hands up and he’s just looking at me out of the corner of his eye. You can tell he was keying off Khadevis, and I don’t think he expected anyone to come outkick him in the last 100 meters …. He had a tough time getting there (to Eugene) from Moscow and it’s first race of the year, so obviously his speed’s not quite where mine is and I think we’re going to see great things from him later this year. But yeah, he was pretty surprised, and I got across the line and all I wanted to do was hug an Olympic gold medalist. It was just a big deal for me to turn around and give him a big hug."
