I am trying to get back into it this week after several YEARS layoff...OK over a decade!! My plan is to run slow everyday this week for 15 minutes. Then depending on how I feel go up to 30 minutes a day next week. 45 minutes the week after etc.
The problem is this: It's only thursday and even after just 3 days on just 15 minutes a day, my legs (especially my quads) feel sore/stiff/slightly dead. Is it better to take a day off? Will it harm my legs to run on them like this? I don't feel any injuries or anything...
I am NOT trolling, even though it may seem like an idiotic question. This is just not familiar territory for me. I would often run 60 miles per week 11 years ago and I don't remember being that sore except maybe a tiny bit after some short races and speed workouts (but that's a different animal).
