I am in the midst of a job search and was hoping to get the advice/input from some more seasoned folk.
I am set to finish grad school (masters at top ranked ivy) and am nervously waiting by my phone. I recently had a final round interview with a company where I met 4 of their senior-level staff. The interview went very well and there were some strongly positive and affirming comments from each. My main contact person, when asked about the time line, replied that I would hear "shortly" and he anticipated "by the end of the week". The end of the week was Friday and no call today.
I completely understand that these things take time and it only seems like it is taking forever on my end. Also, for the sake of reference, this is a growing company that is engaging in mulitple hires.
When should I anticipate a call (ball park)? When (if at all) should I call to follow up and confirm my interest in the position?
Thanks for any help and if anyone has advice I would love to hear it.
