he told my friend at the meet that his last 200 was sub-26...
I wonder what this guy's plans are for next year.

Here's a result that would probably get missed. In the Heptathlon, the top 6 are all in the top 10 all time
No, they're now in the top 15 all-time.

Congrats to Monmouth Men on their first ever national trophy! 3rd place coming through big in the 4x4!
Big props to Garrahan on the triple. Very impressive. Hope a good portion of the posters on this thread likes crow...:D
Jimmy O'Brien, National Champ - 1:53.16 (after a 1:50.74)
2007 Indoor and Outdoor National Champ.
BAMF!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so how about Shauneen Garrahan?
that's pretty awesome that she won the 10,000, 3,000 steeple, and still had enough left to beat Zerzan in the 5,000! major props to her...
does anyone know anything about her or if this has been her goal all year or what?
Congrats to her!
bump
now i am just hoping she will finally give the nescac 10k champ the attention he deserves

Second. They crushed. Also, great work by Davey Quinn of CMU in the 1500! I don't think anyone expected him to pull 2nd.
Anybody know how the 1500 went?
Mens 15-
64, 207, kick. Davitian led some, then flint, then leer took off with 200 to go. Blah blah
Womens 15-
67, 75, 73, ? Druien more or less led start to finish. Not sure why she took it out so hard and then let it drop.
Mens 5k
-Joslyn wins indoor by sitting and kicking in 57....so at outdoor, after a bad 10k, he decides to lead by 30 meters for the first 2k, then get eaten up. Whatever floats your boat I guess. Great meet by Sigl btw!
Women's 5k
out in 540. at 2400 or so, big crash in pack with about 4 girls falling, and the race took off with leaders running a 233 800 in the middle before settling back, and then garrahan kicking. Zerzan has awful form btw. I rank this performance by Garrahan above Yout's. Tripling with a meet record is incredible!
who fell? is that why Wiszowaty did so poorly?

umm, leer didn't win the 5k indoor. I am pretty sure that's reason enough to not say he is a shoe in to win the 5k.
Joslyn made the pace honest in the 5k...and it didnt even matter.
Sigl ran an excellent double.
But pretty much it was, "Mr. Leer....ROOM SERVICE!" as far as the 5k was concerned.
Yes...Wizowaty (and about 3 others, although I forget who they were) fell. She immediately popped up and sprinted for the next 200 to get to the front of the pack, even though she was only about 25 meters behind the leaders after falling and could have just eased up to the pack.
1st heat - 30 mph wind - no rain
2nd heat - 40 mph wind - steady rain
3rd heat - 50-60 mph wind - absolute deluge rain.
The 3rd heat was the most extreme conditions I have ever seen at a meet. It was incredible. I felt really sorry for that heat. I thought they might postpone but I guess that would not be fair to the 1st 2 heats but it also was not fair to the 3rd. LaCrosse ran 3:20.
What an impressive win in the steeplechase by the freshman (Kosgei) from Hamilton. He ran 14 seconds faster than his seed mark coming in. During the race he seemed to hold back at times just waiting for his time to kick. With 300m to go, he put the hammer down. With 1:52 speed in the 800m, I am surprised that Ramon, Erichson, and Barr did not push the pace earlier in order to reduce his kicking ability.

here here, a kenyans first time ever running this year, I'd watch out for that. My friend who runs for Hamilton said how he doesn't even own his own spikes so he borrowed his Lanangs. Oh and BTW Kosgei is 22.
