Here is a situation I am in at work. I am ticked and it is bothering me so much I cannot sleep.
I brought in a rather large account for the company I am working for. The account should pay lots of commissions. I just started working for this company a month and a half ago. Well the set up package was sent up to headquaters and we at the satalite office get a call that another account executive has been working on this account since Christmas. We have no territory so my mgmt team was like dont worry its yours. The other AE has no documentation that she ever made any headway other then a phonecall. The rule is whoever gets the case in the door wins. Well there was a big closed door meeting between our mgmt team and the hdqts people late this afternoon.
My office is next door to the mgmt teams and and I overheard my manager agree to the President of the company that the case was so big we could all share. I worked hard on this case and the account never mentioned that another AE from our company had called on them. Sharing the case is not what I had in mind. So when our mgmt team came out of the closed door session I asked "how did it go? " The reply was "its yours,dont worry" Now I feel like I work for people I cannot trust. Sales Professionals, what would you do ?
