It's not the most accurate measurement, perhaps, since I haven't run an open 400 since HS. Back then I was around 56 and ran 2:00.1
It def. varies. I know two gusy who run 52 and 1:57, a 48 1:54 guy. And then on the other end Ive had teammates who can barely pull a 57 but they can run 1:59 open. The biggest challenge is going to be mentally if you are a long distance guy. For example, if you are a 57 point guy, but you have a lot of strength, you are going to have to try to not think about the fact that your opening 400 could be as little as 2 seconds off your 400 PR.
