Worked as an official at the KU Relays the last three days. A couple of observations, Allyson Felix looked fantastic running the second leg of the 4 X 100. I think she may run some very fast times this year. Matt Tegenkamp ran the equivalent of a sub 4 minute mile basically by himself. This may not sound fast, but the race was buffeted by 25 mile winds down the home stretch. He looked extremely strong, could be a second big year for him. Finally met Bobby Kersee for the first time. He was very approachable and gracious. He took time during his athletes events to visit with my daughter and ask about her aspirations in track. Very nice man. Crowds were way down from last year, hope this isn't the trend for the relays. It was a long, but fun three days.
