Why don't you change the contest to 5:30 and 200lbs? At least it would be interesting that way...

Chris Dresser is definitely a 5'6" short armed meat head. He gets "so mad" when people blame their general weakness on their arm length.
I bet hes just mad because he has no "arm" length.

5'8" actually, but you weren't far off.
The ladies all love my mr. chest. You should see the way they look at me, then at their skinny boyfriends, then hang their heads in disappointment that they're not with a stud like me!
Ha ha hahahaha!
well, right after i finished running competitively i started lifting weights more and after 2 months or so i benched 240 lbs when i was 5'7" and about 140 lbs. granted i could already do about 200-210 lbs before. so, depending upon what your max is right now, 250 lbs may be possible w/in 6 months.....who knows???

Unless your arms are ridiculously out of proportion from the rest of your body, the relative ratio of arm length:body length is roughly the same for most people. Thus the real variable is muscle size/strength.
Very true, most people fall in a common range. The ones who don't are the outliers and they are the ones at the extreme of performance, whether good or bad.
I saw the guy who claimed to set the world "drug free" bench press record (about 15 years ago). Huge barrel chest, short stubby arms. The bar had to move only 8 inches to go from his chest to full extension.
He had a huge advantage because his elbows were still above parallel when the bar was resting on his chest.

Right, a 5'8" guy will have arms 3 inches shorter than a 6'3" guy, more if he has a stockier build. There is an increasing marginal cost for work the farther you have to go, as force is not related to distance linearly but quadratically.
Just use your brain and you can win the bet.
492 dollars to 250 British pounds
bench press the 250 British pounds and you win.
