I put the New Radicals album in my all-time top 10. Somebody once asked me to describe their sound. I said they sound like a cross between Todd Rundgren, Hall & Oates and World Party.

I thought it WAS world party first time I heard the song back then. Good catch.
I assume this thread is a joke.
Hahahaha
I was always curious about that truncated guitar solo at the start of that song. Interesting approach.
Also that music box sound or whatever it was at the VERY beginning: de dum dum dee dee dum dum-dum...did they use a miniature piano for that sound?
I'd be curious to know if that cute female keyboard player in the 'band' in that mall video is Danielle Brisebois?
She's on the far right onscreen.
Alexander had produced an album/CD or two with/for her.
Is/was he a runner? He is tall and skinny-looking. Of course it could also have been evidence of that all-night clubbing lifestyle he enjoyed once, offset by his alleged daily consumption of six odorless garlic pills, which he said is "the ultimate flu fighter".
The New Radicals sucked. Lump them in there with the dudes who did the "mmmm" song. And 4 Non Blondes. But wait, you cant forget Lou Bega.

In our household, You Get What You Give is known as "That Song..." What a fantastic talent that guy is / was, and he just didn't give a fack after that CD. The first 3 songs on the CD are better than Beatles imho. The rest is merely "great", but those first 3 are...er....I can't speak!
Andrew, you have zero (0) music cred considering the favorites listed on your web site.

i really liekd that album - the last few songs on that album kick serious ass, even though they're move mid-tempo burners than upbeat rippers.
good stuff. i can certainly understand the "dont want fame" explanation.

I have a soft spot for the New Radicals and many of the "alt-lite" hits from the turn of the century. That may have been the last time mainstream radio was listenable, in my opinion.

I could find no information about your musical tastes on this site -- only evidence regarding your taste in fashion. (Ouch!)
Rap and angst metal has ruined radio. I rarely have mine on in the car, usually looking for weather and traffic reports.
Hey, times change.
