He'll be running the mile at the New Balance Games. Predictions for this early-in-the-year race? Be nice to see him take the victory in low 3:50's.

Low 3:50s!!!!! Do you even run? Yea, he's run sub 4:00 this year already, but 3:50??? Wow
start list? anyone think webb might be running a few too many indoor miles this year?
why would dwebb go to the Harmory for vunning?
He has so many closer places in VA. Better yet, why doesn't he just build his own track cuz he's so rich and better than all of us.
I could build a banked, mondo surface with my pinky...so it shouldn't be that hard for Webb to do.
First off, I do run. And for the future, you're on a running message board, so it's safe to assume that everyone here runs. Second, I didn't say he'd run 3:50 on the nose. 3:53/3:54?? Yes I realize that is quick for this early on, that's why I preempted it with "be nice to see him take the victory in..."
1. Alan Webb USA

You PRECEDED it. You didn't "preempt" it.
only dubya would say something so stupid.
I wonder if he visits the site...
Yes, he WILL take the crown, but I'm predicting around 3:57... not 3:53
don't know the following but i thought i remeber blincoe being relatively fast. so i'm going to say 3:5high, whatever it takes to win.
2. James Thie Wales
3. Andy Badderly England
5. Adrian Blincoe New Zealand
anbody think he's racing quite a few miles this winter?
Thanks for the correction. Mea culpa.
As for Webb, he ran at GMU 2 weeks ago, NB on Saturday, and Millrose in another 2 weeks. Haven't checked, but do you know what's next on his agenda?
I don't think he's running too many races. Look at how many races Steve Scott would do. He did them all the time. He would even throw in some 10k's for the hell of it. I don't know why, maybe for strength I suppose.
hes also running another mile in south carolina or something, attempt at first sub4 there.
i assume he will run indoor champs.
He's already run sub 4 this year.
I am good friends with Alan, he thinks he can make an attempt at the WR at NB. Supposively he just ran a tempo run of 10 miles at sub 4 pace. I think Webb is bringing american distance running to a whole new level./

And that hardly counts as a race for him...hard effort sure...but not a hard race effort it would seem....at least i hope not. I doubt if that was close to all out that he would be signing up for all these other miles. You can bet he half-assed that 359 mile and running it that fast without much effort gave him the confidence to enter some more races he hadnt already.
Does Shane Stroup have a shoe sponsorship? Who does he train with?

If he visits and posts, no one would know. Moronic posts and comments are the rule here, not the exception.
You've just given a prime example.
I think the responder you responded to was refering to Webb running the first sub four that meet has had. Or maybe the first sub four in South Carolina. Or maybe the first sub four for Webb at a meet in South Carolina. But definitely not Webbs first sub four this year. Or even Webbs first indoor sub four.

Blinco is a 3.54 miler. Baddeley (get the spelling correct) was 2nd in this race last year in 3.58. He took it out and had about a 30m lead at one point before getting taken by a Kenyan. Both are NB athletes so more info:
http://www.newbalance.com/eventsteamnb/roster.htmlThie is the slowest of the 3 but has made the world indoor final and ran 4.00 in this race last year. A prolific racer indoors.
Therefore, Webb will probably need to run 3.57 or quicker to win. Webb is the only one in the field to make a world level final and has much quicker mile/1500m pbs but I don't expect he'll have the race all his own way
