Nice to finally see OSU waking up and try to have a nice dual meet with Kent State, a program on the rise. Hopefully it will last.
I have my money on Kent State :)

be ready to lose your money. OSU will beat Kent off throws and their B runners alone.
Waking up??
I think the word you're looking for here is pity.
Darby, you just never learn do you?
What do you want? A prediction out of me??
I predict that the Kent team will throw rocks and Molatov cocktails and OSU will respond with gun play on the quad.
OSU is on the upswing.
Friends on the team said there is a world of difference in the head coach. I would be surprised of Kent wins; even though OSU was 8th in the Big 10 last year, it's better than Kent. I guess we'll see?
In CC, OSU is way ahead of Kent ever has been! Track will be interesting to see?
Take 2004 and 2005 men track teams and put them head to head. Kent state destroys OSU by FAR!! Wake up.....OSU track and field is just a name lately....So is not Pity --but they are about the same level now in 07.
Little MAC schools love to say this against the big bad schools like OSU.
Cross country is not close. OSU has gone to NCAA's 6 of the last 8 years. Kent never.
OSU has beaten them at the All-Ohio track champs the last couple years.
What other evidence do you need?
Kent never send all people at all ohio championships......B team I must say. Who gives a rat ass about x country. We are talking about track. Again do your homeworks.
Last time Kent and Ohio State were both at Sykes Sabock or however you spell it I believe kent beat them.

Rainbolt, McRaven, Hunt, Wise, Pierce, etc.. are gone from Kent State and Russ Rodgers has left the building. Kent's just back to being a mid-major track team these days.
Looking at the results from Kent's last meet, it's looking like they'll get beat senseless.

Haha, I know that we're taking about track here, but if you think that Kent's "A" team could come close to OSU at All Ohio, I'd say you need to put down what ever you're smoking and step outside in some fresh air. Not a chance. Hell, does Kent even have a CC team!?!
The same goes for OSU vs. Kent on the track...A team VS. A team....curtains.
Hate to agree with Dauby here, but the fact is, in 2004, Ohio State was 4th at NCAA's outdoors.
That is a slam dunk!
Myth: Kent has never had a cc team at the NCAA meet
Fact: Been a helluva long time, but it has occurred
Fact: OSU has had really good success in men's cc since Robert Gary took over
Fact II: They weren't so hot THIS year (fall offs happen)
Myth:"Looking at the results from Kent's last meet, it's looking like they'll get beat senseless"
Fact: Last week was, well, last week. It was the first meet back for many teams and you really can't compare one week to the next right after the semester break and get a realistic assessment.
Fact: "Rainbolt, McRaven, Hunt, Wise, Pierce, etc.. are gone from Kent State"
Fact II: Those coaches did a great job at Kent ("here we go 3-2-1 GO), but the current staff is going to do equally if not more amazing things there. The support and the expertise are there IMHO.
Fact: In a dual meet the scoring alone will keep the meet close as you cannot go 1-2-3 in any event. Each team scores 2 places so the best you can do in any event is 8-3.
Myth:"I predict that the Kent team will throw rocks and Molatov cocktails and OSU will respond with gun play on the quad"
Fact: Kent doesn't have a quad-Michigan does. At Kent, it's called the Commons..
I must give Dauby credit, he hasn't let one big giant national stage ass whoopin stop him from popping off about another sporting event.
Fact: Many of your facts are myths.
Fact II: Even though Ohio State got beat on THE national stage, you have to realize that in order to get beat on THE national stage you have to be at THE national stage. Something that 116 other Div. 1 schools cannot say.
Dude, they didn't just get beat, they got embarrassed. You should just quit talking about things you don't know squat about.
"Jackass, you'll never make this putt"
Awww, man...I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. And to think, it's Friday. A day where everyone should be happy. I'm sorry.
And if it is embarrassing being #2 in the nation you can bet that you are speaking of Ohio State--where National Championships are EXPECTED.
Dance around the trainwreck all you want, but you still have nothing relevant to say.
