I know there is a long thread on this but it takes far too long to sift through it. That said, various physician's sites with info on sports hernia/athletic pubalgia say to first use rest/icing to clear injury but other sites, including the long thread on this board, state that this injury will not clear simply from rest.
1. has anyone successfuly fully recovered from this using only rest/icing?
2. If so, how long, and what is considered rest? That is, is walking (several miles) rest? XC skiing on flats? on Hills? Snowboarding? Biking?
3. My case is mild; it hurts when I sneeze/cough but is only very mildly sore at beginning of run or other times. Can I expect this to get worse with time, or will this depend on how hard I train (30, 40, 50, 60, 70 MPW)? I am 40, so this may make a difference. Thanks for the help.
