It's impeachment time!
It's impeachment time!
Bring it. It won't happen.

If they can impeach me for lying about a b******, they can sure as hell impeach The Chimp for killing 600,000 Iraqis, 3000 Americans, and burying us under a mountain of debt it will take decades to pay off.
Now pass me a doughnut.
I for one, hope Bush doesn't get impeached. If Bush is out, Cheney is in. The best you could do is just hold your breath for a couple more years.
He'll drop dead from the stress, weak heart. That is the whole point.
IMPEACHMENT is the absolute wrong thing to do. It will just add to the polarization. Passing some good solid legislation that helps Americans would be much better, but I don't hold out much hope.
Look for a darkhorse (Bill Richardson?) for your next POTUS in '08.
Rush Limbaugh will be screaming this afternoon.
Why dont you listen to Rush it is obvious you dont
If you impeach Bush for "lying" about Iraq, you HAVE to impeach every single member of both houses for agreeing with him. The entire world believed that Sadaam had weapons, it's not like Bush pulled a fast one.

Don't confuse a Dummycrat with the facts.
I hope the Dems don't just spen all their time with hearings. Talk about wasting an opprotunity. If they go in and really try to implement new ideas and policy, I think they will come off looking better than more and more and more hearings.
I just don't know if that stuff plays to the public that much. We're used to seeing that stuff and it all gets dismissed and party politics.
Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss.

I like thie polariazation, it shows many of these Republicans true colors. Sure, the ones that survived are going to start murmers, "Yeah, I was against Bush too but the party was so strong until the elections in 2006 that I had no choice..."
I want all those goons swapped out with fresh reps. In 08, I don't want to hear about how people like Brownback, Hassert, and Kyl, 'worked to cross aisles with the democrats' -- because they never have. They are part of the reason for such polarity in the first place and they'll damn well do it again! The dems need to first pass some legislation America has been waiting for (min wage, for example) and then turn around and show they are different. An effective change with Iraq policy, major change on how Congress deals with lobbyists, and proposing a balanced budget are all good places to start.
Everyone on here is whining about the deficit...you really have no idea what your talking about. One simple fact that most people probably don't realize is that the government traditionally operates in a deficit environment. Since 1962 the country has not had a deficit only 5 years (1969, 98-01.) Lets also remember that yes we should keep the deficit in track and not let it spiral out of control and given all thats gone on (recession, war, natural disasters) the deficit has dropped by like half in the last 2 years.
Another thing people don't understand is you don't usually look at absolute numbers in economics. The total deficit is not nearly as important as the Deficit as a % of GDP and all news headlines ignore this. When one actually does that you realize that the deficit has not been that big of a deal.
I thought this thread was going to be about Dean Karnazes and his 50 marathons in 50 days being done.
you owe china $30,000. so do I, and so does each of your kids. i consider that a big deal.
Close, but wrong.
Not that I don't believe you but can you provide alittle evidence.
Also while your at it...why don't you go walk around your house right now and report back to me how many things are "made in china"
"The dems need to first pass some legislation America has been waiting for (min wage, for example)"
The minimum wage issue could be forever resolved if Congress indexed it as they have done with Social Security. They won't do that. That would deprive them of a political football.
Good idea! Start an impeachment proceeding against an unpopular lame duck president. Not like that wouldn't galvanize opinion against the Democrats or get the religious right worked into a frenzy. It wouldn't get Reagan fiscal conservatives upset or cause them to form an unholy alliance with theocrats or anything. Or give the GOP some much needed ammunition for 2008 by framing Dems as the party of "hate and revenge".
But send that suggestion to Howard Dean, John Kerry, and Nancy Pelosi. Karl Rove and Dick Cheney would thank you.
Chill. Pelosi already explained there isn't going to be an impeachment.
