Actually, there is no disagreement. Read what I wrote about Haven again...my point was that they will go out hard and make it appear like it is a race for the first three miles...then, Rock and Boro will really open it up from there...but, in those early miles, Haven will give it all they have and this will make the race feel like it is much closer than it really will be when the points are tallied.
Also, concerning your statement about Rock and Boro getting ready for nats...I'm not so sure about that. If I were a betting man, I'd wager that the Rock ran very easy this week hoping for a win and the the Boro practically trained right on through this meet looking ahead to Nats. Boro knows that you don't hang "regional champion" banners in your gymnasium -- the goal is not to win, but to get your ticket to Nats. Not sure the Rock has the same philosophy.
