Oh believe me, I've eaten over 3500 calories already today. 5 slices of Domino's pepperoni (1500), 64 oz of Gatorade (400), orange juice, granola bars, 6 little candy bars at tennis tonight, over half a box cereal (800+ cals), plus various other little things.
FYI: When I ran 5 miles around a track, I lost 475 cals. When on a hilly cross country course, I lost 530. I was at an even 8 minute mile pace both times. So it appears I was right about the 100 calorie rule.
As far as my day's activities, I had a 4 mile warmup, then 4x800 in 2:20 each, 2 mile cooldown. This doesn't count the jogging b/t intervals or stretching. Also I played two sets of tennis tonight, but didn't weight lift as today was a "workout" day for running.
Don't tell me that with my physical endeavors for the day I don't need at least 3500 calories. I also have to go to class and do other various activities of a less athletic nature.
