Also,how about patella tendonitis? Anyway to cure it, or does that require time off too?

Warning -- make sure that hamstring is healed before resuming sprinting / fast paced stuff because then it will happen again, and again until you are permanently screwed. Strengthening exercises (high rep, low weight), WARMING UP PROPERLY, deep tissue sports massage -- these are all helpful.
