There are a bunch of Nike racing flats at the Nike Factory Store in Subiaco (Perth) Australia, for what it's worth.I picked up a pair of waffle racres there (they run very small).
Yeah, I got a TON of pairs of Air Triax TCs over the phone one of the Nike Outlets here in the states. I'm set for a few years now. And they were very cheap too.
I really liked the Air Streaks in my marathon attempts
I think the course and your fitness level both have a lot to do with how sore you're going to be after a marathon, it's not just the shoes
I really liked the Air Streaks too. And it's true I was probably undertrained for my first marathon (due to injury, not desire). Still, at 6 feet, 150 pounds, the Streaks were just not enough shoe for a marathon for me. I'm no Rodgers Rop (he wore them at Boston this year)
I'm certainly going to be a hell of a lot more fit for my second marathon (Cape Cod, Oct 27) than I was for my first (Boston 2002). But I won't go as light as the Streaks again at 150 pounds.
