Curious to see how Emma Bates fares. She continues this trend of talking a big game but failing to live up to her own hype( Bates mode). It’s almost like she’s more of an influencer than a competitor at world majors. Is it just about getting eyeballs and likes on social media with race results being a secondary focus? She’s going to lead that race tomorrow at some point only to be left in the dust when things start getting real.

I do NOT at all advocate sports betting, but I thought it interesting what the current lines are posted on another thread, particularly since I don’t know much about the complete fields. Those odds currently have Mantz in 10th place for the win, and Bates in 10th place.

I hope she does well but I agree, there’s a lot of confident talk before these marathons (AR shape etc) then something always seems to go wrong on the day. She does need to deliver on this talk now! Or dial down the over confident chat.
